BILL HOTALING
Jazz, Lyrical, Theatre Dance, Mini/Junior/Senior All Star Coach
Bill Hotaling began his dance training in New York City. Since then, he has performed on stages throughout the world, from Radio City Music Hall in NY to the World Design Expo in Japan. He has appeared in music videos for groups such as Cameo and Sweet Obsession, and performed in many industrials for companies such as AT&T and IBM. You can see him in commercials for "Rascals" candy and "Miller Ultra" beer as well as in the film "When Harry met Sally". Teaching and Choreographing have become his main focus. He has choreographed theatrical productions of “Chicago”, “The Music Man”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Pippin”. He travels extensively, teaching workshops and master classes for the leading dance organizations (Manhattan Dance Project, Dance Masters of America, Dance Caravan...), colleges and universities (Disney American College, Columbia University...), and numerous dance studios across the United States and Canada. In NYC he has taught at three of the most successful studios: Broadway Dance Center, Steps and Central Park Dance Studio. Most recently, Bill has taught jazz & lyrical at the School of Ballet Arizona and at Arizona School of the Arts in Phoenix, AZ. He is the founder of the Manhattan Dance Project, now in its eleventh season.
LEAH HOTALING
Rockette-Style, Children's Classes, Ballet, Hawaiian, Mini All Star Coach
Leah Hotaling was a Radio City Rockette for five years and has taught master classes on the Rockette style across the country. Her classes give students the opportunity to learn the precision technique that has made the Rockettes famous all over the world. Leah has also performed at the movie premiers for "Moulin Rouge" starring Nicole Kidman and Disney's "102 Dalmatians" starring Glen Close. She has danced for Chita Rivera in a benefit show choreographed by Tony award winner Chet Walker. Leah has appeared in numerous dance instructional videos as well as on television and radio as a public relations spokesperson for Radio City Music Hall. When she is not at the studio she enjoys spending her time with her children, Will and Drew, and her husband Bill.
JENNI GOULD
Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Junior/Senior All Star Coach
Jenni has joined us from Detroit, Michigan where she was an award-winning instructor/choreographer at the acclaimed Annette & Company School of Dance. Jenni began dancing at a young age and she has since studied extensively under many professionals in New York City and Los Angeles. Much of Jenni’s training and experience has come from working under Nichelle Bane, Joshua Bergasse, Doug Caldwell, Mia Michaels, Rhapsody, Wade Robson, Susie Taylor, Jayson Wright (and the list continues). Jenni has many industrial credits to her name including: Detroit Pistons Pre-Game Show - choreographer, Puma Sportswear, Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Pediatric Aids - dancer & choreographer. Jenni’s choreography has also won numerous awards at many of the leading dance competitions (Dupree, Tremaine, NYC Dance Alliance) including perfect score, best overall, and best of show. Our All Starz are thrilled to have Jenni as their coach. We are looking forward to many outstanding performances and competitions under Jenni’s instruction!
RUSSELL CLARKE
Ballet
Russell Clarke trained at the Royal Ballet School in London, under the direction of Gailene Stock, for three years. In his final year he danced the principal role in Natalie Wier's Jabula for the end of the year tour to Dubai. Also in his time at the Royal Ballet School he performed with the Royal Ballet Company in productions including The Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. Mr. Clarke worked with the Scottish Ballet in the production of Romeo and Juliet. This is Mr. Clarke's first season with Ballet Arizona.
JESSICA BUSSANICH
Jazz, Hip-Hop, Pop Jazz
Jessica has been dancing since age 9, and brings an exciting style to her classes here at Conservatory of Dance. Jessica has attended many prestigious conventions over the years and has earned scholarships from LA Dance Magic, Jump, and Co Dance. She danced with Paula Abdul at the Co Dance National Convention. Jessa received the Best Dancer Award at Mountain Ridge High School as a freshman. She enjoys teaching lyrical, jazz, pop jazz and hip-hop, as well as creative performance choreography.
SUNDANCE (STEPHAN) EVANS
Hip-Hop, Break Dancing
Introducing our Hip-Hop and Break Dancing Instructor Sundance (Stephan Evans). Sundance is part of the Mellow Drama Cru, performing all across Arizona, California and the Southwest, including the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix. He was most recently seen on MTV’s new show “America’s Best Dance Crew”. Where his crew made it to the top 12 in the nation!
PAMELA BROOKS
Pom, Musical Theater, Jazz, Children's Classes
Pamela Brooks has been singing and dancing her whole life; her first dance training started at the age of three. She has had extensive training in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, lyrical, pom, voice, and acting. As a member of the National Thespian Society Ms. Brooks has performed in a myriad of productions; ranging from “Once Upon a Mattress” and “Grease” to “Phantom of the Opera”. She has been part of competitive dance, pom and cheer teams and has successfully coached and directed many teams to Regional, State, and National titles. Pamela has toured with the professional singing group Little Women and has choreographed and directed many musical theatre productions. Pamela has both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees and currently teaches at Barry Goldwater High School. A devoted wife and mother to Ashli and Adam, Pamela’s love for music and dance has always been a part of her life.
NICOLE KALANI
Pom, Jazz, Lyrical
Nicole discovered that dance was her passion at the young age of 2. She started in children’s Ballet/Tap combo classes and has never stopped striving for new inspirations. For the past 2 years Nicole has had the amazing opportunity to serve as the elite protégé for the choreographers of Manhattan Dance Project which includes our very own Bill Hotaling. She danced on competitive teams for 7 years and has been recognized as an All American Dancer 3 times and has also won numerous National Titles in lyrical, jazz, and hip-hop. Nicole has just recently graduated a year early from Chaparral High School and will be beginning her 5th year on staff at Conservatory of Dance.
